Adrienne & Heath’s Engagement

David and I are shooting Adrienne and Heath’s wedding next month at the Westin in Annapolis. It’s going to be fabulous! While they were in town from Chicago over the 4th of July weekend, we squeezed in their engagement session between sailing, crabs and fireworks. It was only fitting that they add some ice cream to the recipe for a perfect summer day!

Jenny & Seth

Jenny & Seth’s wedding, back on June 19th, was just one big happy artsy craftsy love fest! You could feel the love in the air and see it in all of Jenny’s handcrafted details and funky collections and creations. Thank goodness for all of the vintage hankies because it was HOT and and there were SO MANY happy tears shed that day! Here are just a few of our favorites from their truly amazing wedding.

-AR and DSS

I just loved Jenny’s “Anthropologie” style details. The wedding programs were made with handmade wildflower seed paper and tied with a hand stamped hanky. (I pocketed a few extra hankies to schvitz in style at all of my summer weddings!)

Seth and his brother had a fun time “peeping” at all the guests from the sacristy.

There was lots of laughter and let’s say… “untraditional” music at the ceremony. Definitely the most fun Catholic ceremony I’ve ever been to!

The name and table number of each guest was written in calligraphy on the back of a unique vintage card and tied with ribbon to a clothesline.

Shirley from Seasonal Flowers must have had so much fun filling these containers! We were like kids in a candy store photographing them all.

After all of the years photographing weddings at the Oaks, we discovered this old pick-up truck in the barn while taking shelter from the sun. It was the perfect prop for Jenny and Seth.

The guests had so much fun painting tiles on the dock for Jenny and Seth, provided by The Clay Bakers in Easton.

We have never had a cocktail hour with such a fun activity. It was a hit!

We loved working with Phyllis and Case of Phyllis Marsh Productions! Here is their write-up on the day.

Once again, MyDeeJay did an awesome job with all of the music for the reception! Love working with them!

Nicole - As always Amy FANTASTIC work! You captured all the tiny details and over all feeling flawlessly!July 16, 2010 – 2:41 PM

Briana and Bill’s Engagement

At long last…Briana and Bill’s engagement pictures have come to fruition after countless cancelled plans due to this summer’s unbearable humid days and nightly downpours! Our patience was rewarded with a beautiful and fun evening in Annapolis.  Bill had us in stitches with his antics and our little trespassing adventure to a private beach proved to be totally worth the risk for the gorgeous sunset photos!

David and Alison are super excited to shoot Briana and Bill’s wedding out on the Eastern Shore in September! It’s gonna be a blast!

Jenny & Dave

After spending a fabulous evening with Jenny & Dave down in St. Mary’s County for their engagement session, I just couldn’t wait for their big day on June 12th. These two are so head over heels for each other, and their wedding plans sounded too good to be true!  The Cabaret II was packed to the gills with their nearest and dearest friends and family. It was a fun filled night for all!
An impromptu “Sex in the City” shot on the way to board the boat at the City Dock.
Dave’s Grandma Winnie doubled as the flowergirl, and Dave’s best friend Nick was the ringbearer. So funny!
“Reverend Rob” performed a beautiful ceremony.
Jenny and Dave wrote and recited their own vows, which was really amazing. Not a dry eye on deck.
I love how all of the group shots turned out…so fun and casual. Love the seersucker vests and topsiders on the guys!
Two cool first dance shots and a gorgeous night shot by Missy.
The perfect ending to a perfect night!

Kristen & Chris

Kristen and Chris were referred to me by Cindy and Chad, one of my favorites couples from way back in the film days of 2002! Kristen and Chris’s “intimate casual Lilly Pulitzer/seersucker wedding” was a whirlwind wedding for me. Meeting the B&G in person for the first time and only having four hours to document their day (which was no doubt the hottest of the summer so far!) was so overwhelming. Being at the fabulous Inn at Perry Cabin made it better for sure!

I have come to realize that shooting a wedding with only 40 or so guests can actually be harder than one with 150 or more. I want to capture great images of every guest since I know that each one is so special to the B&G. But it is harder to blend into such a small group of people. It’s a fine line between “getting the shot” and being obtrusive. You have to know when to give it a rest!

While looking through these images, I was shocked to see that shot over 1300 images in so little time. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Kristen was simply stunning.

Gorgeous flowers by Jo.

Chris’s kids were so adorable and SO well behaved. They made this “must have” shot so easy for me!

Ethan was so intrigued by the kiss!

Kristen and her new MIL share a moment.

After dinner we snuck outside for a walk by the water under the beautiful evening sky.

Meredith - Priceless! Kristen you look “picture, perfect and priceles”! Not a stone was left unturned. I am so happy for you & wish you years of happiness. The kids looked beautiful and I hope you add as many years of laughter to their lives as you have to mine!

Dayna Grundland Sable - Kristen! You are absolutely gorgeous. The photographer captured every moment beautifully. I wish you, Chris and those three adorable kids the happiest future together. You deserve it! Give my best to your parents (who look amazing) and enjoy every precious moment as a married woman.
