Kara & Brendan

Working with Kara & Brendan was truly a pleasure from start to finish. From their engagement session in Dupont Circle to just the other day when Kara’s dad called me to say that he was moved to tears while looking through the images online, Kara & Brendan and their families have been the most gracious and appreciative clients anyone could ask for. There is no doubt that they have each gained a wonderful new family (with lots of nieces and nephews to prepare them for parenthood!) and I wish them all the best for a lifetime of more love & happiness!

My second shooter Alison and I also had the lovely Bridget Newby and associates of SoCo Events to be thankful for, as well as the little gem of a venue, The Meridian House, and Meridian Hill Park for great photo ops. Here are just a few of our favorites.

The dancefloor never got lonely, thank to MyDeeJay!

Danica and Todd

I’ve had so much fun working with Danica and Todd this year. First, a fun afternoon shooting their engagement session in Federal Hill this summer, (which reminds me..I have got to go back there to get me some of that steamed shrimp!) then an absolutely fabulous wedding day at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Danica & Todd put a unique and personal spin on things; such as a lively color scheme inspired by Todd’s family tartan, and the part of the officiant played by Danica’s brother, Ben. Their friends and family were such an easygoing and fun crowd to work with. David and I had a blast capturing it all!

Beautiful flowers by Crimson and Clover.

Really unique cake by SugarBakers Cakes.

The band, The Storytellers, kept the party going all night long!

Jamie and Nate

Jamie and Nate….one of my favorite couples of the year! Maybe because Jamie is always laughing, (like me) or because they love dogs, the farm life and burlap (like me)…I don’t know. I just love these two and love being a part of their lives. We had such a blast the day of their engagement session, and again on their wedding day, when David and I captured these gorgeous images. Jamie and Nate took all of our recommendations; creating a dream team of talent to bring their plans to fruition. What an incredible day it turned out to be!

Jenna and Mike

What can you say about a wonderful couple? Alot. Jenna and Mike are just that, a wonderful couple. An amazing couple. A couple who is honest and sweet, loving and fun. They are just great.

My assistant Renata and I had a wonderful time with Jenna and Mike, and all their family and friends, for this all United States Naval Academy wedding!

Stunning Jenna in my new favorite location for bridal portraits, Mahan Hall. Gorgeous!

Love, love, love this location, Dahlgren Hall!

The dancefloor was hoppin’ all night long, thanks to Anthony from MyDeeJay.

And of course, the guys serenaded Jenna to “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”. Love it!

Jenna’s dad’s friends kept the party exciting!

Custom paper airplanes were used to send off Jenn and Mike. How fun!

Dawn and Dustin

Dawn and Dustin’s wedding was such a treat for me and David. Their wedding was so simple, intimate and fun. Small wedding party, simple seated dinner reception at the AYC, but plenty of bling! It was almost surreal ~ it was like a dry run of a wedding instead of the real thing. There was not a moment of stress! Dawn and Dustin and their wedding party were just so much fun, and all laughs. Thanks for choosing us, Dawn & Dustin! We loved being a part of your day.

Flowers by Silverstems.

There is nothing like witnessing and capturing this moment.

Timing is everything; we happened to enter Bancroft Hall (the mess hall and largest dormitory in the world, and also, IMHO, the most beautiful building in the world!) at the same time as thousands of plebes. There went our silhouette shot in the doorway.

Cake by Fiona’s Cakes.

Dawn and Dustin were given the honors of leading Taps by firing the canon that night at the yacht club. Let me just say that that little canon really packs a punch. It was LOUD! Next time I know to ask for earplugs!
