Kara and Brendan

Kara and Brendan are getting married this September at the Meridian House in DC. After much deliberation, we decided to do their engagement session in the Dupont Circle area to document some of their favorite haunts, (Mr. Yogato frozen yogurt, I’m definitely going back to see you when I dont have a camera in my hand) art & architecture.
Kara and Brendan have assembled a great team of vendors for their big day. We’ll be working with SoCo Events for the first time and MyDeejay.com as usual, to name a few. We are looking forward to seeing just how fabulous their wedding will be!

Kelly and Rob

Kelly and Rob booked me online for their intimate little wedding at one of my favorite venues, the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels. I just couldn’t wait to meet them in person on their wedding day. Their wedding was such a sweet and  fun family affair. If I had to get married all over again, this is the way I would do it!

Kelly’s daughter Claudia was such a sweetheart. She thoroughly enjoyed being her mom’s MOH!

The kids’ reaction to “the kiss” was hilarious!

Kelly and Rob were so in love, and “in the moment” the whole time. I felt so lucky to have caught this moment through the doorway during dinner, but it turns out they kept it up all night long!

I rarely get to use this garden for portraits since it is in full sun during the day. But when we went out at dusk for pictures, I peeked into the garden and was so excited to see how different and gorgeous it looked in the evening.

Also my first time doing pics on a bike at the Inn. I love this shot! Thanks Kelly & Rob for choosing me, and for letting me do “my thing”!

Emily & Paul

Emily lives in New York and Paul is serving overseas. They came together for a fun and fancy wedding weekend in Annapolis recently. And what a time it was! Andrea and I had a blast with everyone involved, and the weather was just perfect! Thanks for being a wonderful couple, you two rock!

The bridesmaid dresses were from a little bridesmaid boutique in NYC, Here Comes the Bridesmaid – although Emily gives credit one of her bridesmaids for spotting them! Good find!

Emily’s nephew was the ringbearer. Love him!

The ceremony was at the fabulous Annapolis Yacht Club. So many amazing visuals surrounded us for pictures!

Afterwards, it was over to the Annapolis Westin for the reception. But first, a stop at the loggia across the street. Gorgeous lighting! Gorgeous couple!

Briana and Bill in Washingtonian Magazine!

The summer/fall issue of Washingtonian Bride & Groom just hit the stands, and it is over-the-top fabulous! We were so thrilled to be awarded “Editor’s pick” once again. Even more exciting was seeing David and Missy’s beautiful images from Briana & Bill’s country garden wedding as a Real Wedding spread! Kudos, David & Missy!

Polly & John

Here’s a classic Annapolis wedding, complete with stormy seas and whitecaps at the City Dock! David and I were so lucky to have the perfect couple to weather a day like this. Polly & John and their sailing and firefighting crew toughed it out and had a blast.  I always say that I have good wedding weather karma (yes I just knocked on wood) since at my weddings the sky always seems to dry up just at the right moment, if only for a few moments. Indeed it did this day; the rain stopped from the time we walked out of the church to the intros at the reception, which enabled us to get so many beautiful portraits and fun wedding party shots. Polly & John ~ thanks for being such a great couple, and I look forward to seeing you around town!

The bouquets by Julie from Little House of Flowers were stunning.

All of the women in Polly’s family are so close. As brides, they have passed down the tradition of carrying and signing the prayer book that Polly’s great-grandmother, Beatrice Branch Briggs, carried on her wedding day of February 17, 1910.

The rain stopped long enough for us to go out on the dock at the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott and shoot tons of fun photos with the wedding party!
